Legacy Planning

Peter Nobes asks –

I’d very much like to talk to some CCC colleagues who may be doing work with their respective diocesan development or legacy office.

In some research work we did last year the “need for Family Legacy” was something that came out as a significant need. We plan to work closer with the diocesan office of development on the theme of Legacy Planning. We’ve had a couple of initial meetings – i.e. helping our families carry on traditions and values, leaving a legacy of faith, etc. We certainly offer memorials and online obituaries but we are thinking beyond that and wonder if some members have been working closely with their respective office of development on common goals and programs.

So, if  you are working with your diocesan development or planned giving office in the area of legacy (planning, story telling, estate preparation, advanced care directives, etc., etc. ), I would very much like to hear from you.

Thank you,
